Acceptable Use Policy

Please read this Acceptable Use Policy attentively before using the SQL Habit website located at https://www.sqlhabit.com. Using SQL Habit website will be considered that you accept these its Terms of Service and agree to adhere to this Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Background

1.1. SQL Habit is dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations through effective learning of Data Analysis with SQL. Our mission is to make data knowledge accessible to learners worldwide. To achieve this, we must ensure that our Services operate efficiently, seamlessly, and without interruption. We count on your cooperation to use the Services in a way that honors the effort behind their development and demonstrates respect for other customers and users.

1.2. This Acceptable Use Policy outlines our expectations for your use of the SQL Habit Services.

1.3. All SQL Habit customers and other users of the Services are required to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy. If you or your organization cannot adhere to this policy, you must stop using the Services immediately and notify SQL Habit so that we can close your account.

2. What You Must NOT Do ⚠

You must NOT (!!) engage in any activity that constitutes unacceptable use of SQL Habit, as outlined below:

Disruption

  • 🚫 Directly or indirectly reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, object code, or underlying structure, ideas, know-how, or algorithms relevant to the Services.
  • 🚫 Modify, translate, create derivative works of, adapt, or translate the Services (except to the extent explicitly permitted by SQL Habit in writing or authorized within the Services).
  • 🚫 Use the Services in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any SQL Habit infrastructure, servers, or networks.

Using the Services

  • 🚫 Reproduce, redistribute, transmit, assign, sell, broadcast, rent, share, lend, modify, adapt, edit, create derivative works of, license, or otherwise transfer or use any SQL Habit Content, in whole or in part, without explicit written authorization.
  • 🚫 Use the Services for any illegal purpose or otherwise in violation of applicable laws.
  • 🚫 Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices or labels from the Services, Content, or related materials.
  • 🚫 Host the Services on a subscription basis or otherwise, without SQL Habit’s authorization, including using the Services to:
    1. Permit a third party to use the Services to create, transmit, or manage content.
    2. Conduct conferences, online meetings, or similar services for third parties.
  • 🚫 Violate the legal rights (e.g., rights of privacy or publicity) of others.
  • 🚫 Impersonate another person or gain unauthorized access to another person’s account or subscription.

Dealing with Others

  • 🚫 Solicit personal information from any user of the Services.
  • 🚫 Recruit, solicit, or contact any SQL Habit user or potential user for employment or business purposes unrelated to SQL Habit without explicit written permission.

Malware

  • 🚫 Introduce viruses, worms, spyware, or other malicious code, files, or programs that could damage, corrupt, or hijack the operation of the Services, SQL Habit infrastructure, or user data.
  • 🚫 Scrape, spider, or use robots or other automated means to access the Services.

Inappropriate Content

🚫 Do not upload, post, or transmit any content, material, or information via the Services that: - Constitutes unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, spam, or similar solicitations. - Is inappropriate, offensive, racist, hateful, sexist, pornographic, false, misleading, fraudulent, harassing, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or libelous. - Breaches any legal duty (e.g., confidentiality agreements) or infringes upon third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

If applicable, users may have the right to upload their own content (“User-Generated Content” or “UGC”) into the SQL Habit Services. By uploading UGC, you grant SQL Habit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to host, store, transfer, display, perform, reproduce, modify for formatting purposes, distribute the UGC to other users, and sublicense these rights as necessary for the provision of the Services. SQL Habit disclaims all liability associated with UGC. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that:

  • They own or have the necessary rights to upload the UGC.
  • The UGC does not infringe any third-party rights, is not defamatory or illegal, and complies with these terms.
  • The UGC does not contain any malicious code or inappropriate content.

SQL Habit reserves the right to review, remove, or block UGC that violates this Acceptable Use Policy without prior notice.

3. What You Must Do

✅ Use the Services Responsibly

Only use the Services in compliance with the applicable terms, our published policies at the time of use, and all applicable laws, including but not limited to data protection regulations and intellectual property laws.

✅ Maintain Secure Access to SQL Habit

Ensure the security of the devices and equipment you use to access the Services. Any associated costs or technical requirements for such equipment are your responsibility.

✅ Safeguard Your Account and Credentials

Maintain the security of your SQL Habit account, including your login credentials such as passwords and authentication keys. You are responsible for any activity conducted through your account.

✅ Protect Confidential and Personal Information

Take responsibility for how confidential or personal information (yours or that of others) is disclosed or used. This includes taking adequate measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse of such information.

4. General

4.1 Breach of This Acceptable Use Policy

Failure to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy constitutes a material breach of the Agreement under which you are permitted to use the Services. Without affecting any other rights or remedies available to us, we may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your account or access to the Services without notice or liability if we (in our sole discretion) determine that you have violated this Acceptable Use Policy. This may result in SQL Habit taking one or more of the following actions:

4.1.1 Issue of a warning to you.

4.1.2 Legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach.

4.1.3 Further legal action against you.

4.1.4 Disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary or as required by law.

4.2 Moderation

4.2.1 Although we have no obligation to monitor your use of the Services, we may do so and may prohibit any use of the Services we believe (in our sole discretion), or is alleged to be, in violation of this Acceptable Use Policy.

4.2.2 We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove any content, material, or information that we consider to be in violation of this Acceptable Use Policy at any time.

5. Definitions

Affiliate means any entity, individual, firm, or corporation, directly or indirectly through one or more intermediaries, controlled by or under common control with SQL Habit.

Agreement means the contract terms which allow you to access and use the Services, either under a B2B license or under the SQL Habit End User Terms of Service available here: https://www.sqlhabit.com/terms.

App means any application, interface, or platform through which the SQL Habit Content and Services are accessible.

Applicable Data Protection Laws means all applicable laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, or requirements in any jurisdiction relating to data protection, privacy, or confidentiality of Personal Data, including but not limited to (a) the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) together with any transposing, implementing, or supplemental legislation, and (b) any similar regulations in jurisdictions applicable to Select From Count EU.

SQL Habit Content means content created or licensed by SQL Habit and published or otherwise provided by or through SQL Habit, including through its Website.

End User means a user or learner of the Services or the library of content therein.

Equipment includes modems, hardware, servers, software, operating systems, networking, telecommunications, and web servers.

Services means all services provided by SQL Habit to you and/or the End User via the Website, the App, or other means.

Website means SQL Habit’s website at https://www.sqlhabit.com.
