Anatoli and SQL Habit have given a kickstart to a whole new approach to marketing analytics at CareerFoundry.
We have a much clearer vision of how to connect the data from different sources.
We now have a group of SQL enthusiasts from across the marketing team finding the answers to their questions in data and automating reports, that’s already saving a ridiculous amount of time.
Anatoli works with us at Fjor as a Growth Tech consultant. We started working with him after one of our Product Managers took his SQL Habit course.
Anatoli helped us with all sorts of tech, marketing and data problems: A/B testing, payment systems and onboarding flows, paid content marketing, measuring web and mobile funnels, etc. Working with Anatoli saved us months figuring things out on our own.
Most recently, Anatoli helped us start the BI department at Fjor: shape our BI tech stack and interview candidates for the first Data Analyst role.
I highly recommend hiring Anatoli as a consultant.
Many of the concepts I consult on are covered in my SQL Habit course — a business simulator inspired by my experiences at Blinkist. It’s designed to teach teams how to leverage data effectively for growing both marketing and product. Consider it a hands-on way to level up your team’s skills and drive results.
What types of engagements do you offer?
You can hire me on an hourly basis (best for strategic advice, small projects or interviews), full day (best for designing systems, working with multiple teams), or a monthly retainer with a discounted fixed number of hours (best for ongoing projects, team training, and support).
Can you work with existing systems, or do you prefer building from scratch?
Usually, building from scratch is a no-brainer. When it comes to legacy systems, my engineering experience allows me to dive into any existing system quickly. I’ve worked with complex Salesforce setups, SOAP APIs, migrating 10-year-old PHP apps into a modern stack, etc. Try to surprise me!
Do you specialize in a particular industry or type of business?
I don’t have a preference as long as my work is impactful, interesting, and I work with great people. I’ve worked with companies from E-commerce (7M users Groupon clone), Edtech (Blinkist, Educa, Papumba, Careerfoundry, SQL Habit), Health (Flo, Fjor), blogging platforms (Gistflow), Media (Evrone), SaaS (Evrone), Insurance (Feather), etc.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
I work remotely most of the time. I love to meet people in Berlin, Germany, where I’m based at the moment. I’m flexible with time zones.
How do you approach projects where the scope or requirements are unclear?
The question is whether they’re ever clear. I’m a big fan of TRIZ and risk management. I also have a couple of my own workshops I run to align the team and stakeholders, solve complex problems.
Still thinking? Let’s grab a coffee and figure it out together.
