Once you figured out which database you need to connect to and got your user’s credentials we’re ready to download a SQL client and start writing queries.

⚠ If your company already has a BI tool in place then you might not need a SQL client. BI tools usually have an SQL interface. The only problem could be that not all data is available inside the BI tool (sometimes BI tools charge companies for a number of available records).
